A older black woman was wondering around the Kum N Go station on Battlefield and National trying to find a ride back to her hotel on the northside of Springfield. Apparently she had been in Cox South getting treated for severly low blood sugar. Cox cut her loose with a paper smock and pants and socks. When I ran into her she her socks were wet from walking up National. She said they had given her a bus pass but the bus never came. She said that by the time she had paid for her monthly rent at the hotel she had only $40 to see her through the month for food (no wonder her blood sugar levels were so low...16!) I drove her up to the hotel she was living at on Kearney and Glenstone and gave her $20 to get some food to eat.
Things have been really slow for me work wise and I realized there but for the grace of God go I.
It's going to be awhile before this economy gets straightened out. We're going to have help each other out if we're going to make it...that and God's grace. show traks map view
