We had terrible rains this past week. I went outside to check on my sump pump discharge to make sure the water was actually being pumped . I noticed my next door neighbors sump hose had detached from the pipe. Water was pooling around the foundation. The sump pump was discharging every 15 seconds. The old hose had been connected with tape and was now useless. I went to the hardware store and spent $20 and bought a new hose, clamps, glue and an adapter to affix the hose to the pipe. Once back home , it was a 10 minute job to fix and the water flow soon slowed to every few minutes. The new hose and clamps should last a number of years. No one was home. I can only imagine the problems if his basement had become flooded. I did this without hesitation and no thought of a thank you or remuneration. It just seemed the right thing to do.

What a great story. It makes me realize that there are a lot of great people in this world that truly care for one another. Thank you so much for inspiring me today and cheering me up. Keep it going.
